Crossing Cultures International Mission and Vision
Mission: Crossing Cultures International exists to glorify God by equipping national church leaders for local church ministry and church planting efforts.
Vision: Our vision is to impact Asia and the South Pacific with the gospel by equipping pastors and national leaders for local church ministry, by facilitating church planting efforts and by mobilizing the church for missional activity.
David has served as the Asian Coordinator for BTCP, equipping and mentoring national pastors throughout Asia. As the Bible Training Centre for Pastors refined their strategy to only resource ministries working with nationals, God directed David and Mindy to start Crossing Cultures International (October 2005). http://www.bibletraining.com/feature_part.html David Nelson and Ron and Diana Baird along with Edy Wowor originally teamed up to in 2004 to undertake the project of translating the BTCP Curriculum into the Indonesian language. This partnership and friendship has continued on between each one's own perspective ministry organizations: Crossing Cultures International and Beyond Cultures International / YMP3 Indonesia. Translation Progress: The entire curriculum has been translated in draft form and we are now reformatting, editing and in the correcting phase of the translation process! Praise! We have 4-5 books that have been reformatted! Please continue to pray that we can get the rest done (10 books + Summary) by June 2009. Also pray that we can get the Workshop manual translated and formatted as well as the Summary manual so we can begin the Leader Training Workshops in Indonesia before 2010.
